Check out this sweet little jug! As always, it has been carefully turned from hand dug local clay. To put the cherry on top of this fairly traditional form, i have carefully incised some very sweet little mushrooms growing in the grass. The pattern is entirely freehand and pressed in one poke at a time.
I have dipped the jug into a traditional alkaline glaze made from wood ash, stone dust, clay, and powdered glass which gives a lovely jade like color. To add a little extra, i have placed a chip of glass over the handle to melt in the kiln. I have fired this to over 2350f in a wood burning kiln for great strength and food safety. This would be a perfect addition to any collection or a gift for a mushroom enthusiasts
