This piece started, as all my work, with hand dug local stoneware clay, it was turned into anfairly traditional crock jar form.... and then it took an unusual turn (these things happen sometimes).
Inspired by early mediteranian mother goddess artifacts, i have adorned this piece with six breasts, each onThise carefully incised with spirals, concentric lines, and even several inlaid moonstone chips. The glaze is my signature "palantir" glaze, made from wood ash, stone dust, and iron. It has been fired to over 2350f in a wood burning kiln to be very sturdy, water tight, and food safe. If you chose to use this as a display piece, or to display a glorious offering of fresh flowers, im not sure what to call this but a modern artifact
