Anybody who shaves with an old fashioned safety razor knows the struggle of figuring out what to do with the old dull blades when their time comes. In the old days people would just push them through a slot into the wall, some people put them in an old can or tin, or find something to tape them into to put them in the trash.. but here im offering a practical and elegant solution.
This used blade bank is turned in a sturdy closed form, with a wide base so it will sit stable on your bathroom counter. The slot cut in the top is the perfect size to easily slide a used blade into, where it will stay. I made one of these for myself near half a decade ago, and hundreds of blades later, it still isnt anywhere near full... so it promises many years of service.
This bank is turned from wild stoneware which i dig locally, it has been fired without glaze to over 2350f in a wood burning kiln where it has collected the natural ash yielding an earthy, slightly shiny surface. It really lets the natural beauty of wood fired clay shine through, and will be a great and good looking addition to your bathroom counter
